About Us

Established in 1995 to meet the needs of California campaign treasurers, DirectFile has developed sophisticated state of the art political disclosure software to assist campaigns, political action committees, major donors, and independent expenditure committees meet the legal requirements of today's electronic world. Using the technology of the Internet, solid political accounting principles, and state of the art security, DirectFile is the most advanced political disclosure software available today.

A veteran team of campaign treasurers, political consultants, and Silicon Valley computer programmers, all experts in their respective fields, created the DirectFile system to make political accounting and disclosure as simple as possible. The DirectFile system is being continually developed and tested to assure a solid, fast, and reliable accounting and reporting system.

The California Secretary of State approved DirectFile as a software vendor in compliance with The California Electronic Filing Act (Senate Bill 49). The DirectFile system fully complies with that act as well as all regulations and guidelines drafted by the Secretary of State and the Fair Political Practices Commission.
